Kidney & Urology Foundation of America Honors NKR Founder Garet Hil with 2010 Humanitarian Award

The Winning Spirit

Since its early beginnings the Kidney & Urology Foundation of America has been in the forefront
in the fight against kidney, urologic and hypertensive diseases. All of our lives in one way or another
have been touched by the Foundation. Those efforts in research and medical therapy have changed
sickness and death to life and prolonged health.

We could not accomplish these life saving activities without the help and support of many people.
It is the generosity and participation of those, both medical and lay, who make the work of the
Foundation possible.

THE KIDNEY & UROLOGY FOUNDATION OF AMERICA IS PROUD TO HONOR:

John D. Birkhoff, MD, Assistant Professor of Clinical Urology, Columbia University College of
Physicians and Surgeons, and Assistant Attending Physicians, New York Hospital, will receive the
John Kingsley Lattimer Award and be recognized for his excellence in patient care and for a
lifetime of dedication and achievement in Urology.
