Welcome! Donating a kidney and starting a Donor Chain will truly help many in need. We are here to answer all questions and make the living donation process as easy as possible. Below is our 10- step process:

Step 1	Review the Health Guidelines for Living Donation.
Step 2	Register with Us.
Step 3	Both you and your Doctor complete and return the Medical Certification Form.
Step 4	Complete the basic tests listed on the bottom of the Medical Certification Form and send the results to us.
Step 5	Once we have your basic test results cleared by a doctor, we will send you an HLA test (cheek swab)
Step 6	Once we have the results of your HLA tests, we schedule a donor evaluation which can take 1-2 days and may require travel.
Step 7	The donor evaluation takes place at the potential recipient’s transplant center.
Step 8	Once we have results from your donor evaluation, we schedule the surgery to start a donor chain.
Step 9	A final cross match (blood test) is performed one week prior to surgery. This can be done through overnight mail.
Step 10	If the final cross match is ok, surgery takes place at the recipient’s transplant center.
